The Importance of the Outdoors

A growing body of research shows that children's social, emotional, and physical development is positively impacted when they have frequent contact with nature. Farm Kids was created in response to the alarming increase in children struggling with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, anxiety, and other neurodevelopmental disorders in order to improve their successful participation in their daily lives.

Handwriting With a Healthy Dose of the Outdoors

This eight session handwriting camp targets the foundational skills necessary for handwriting through seasonal outdoor activities and multisensory handwriting practice. The camp includes pre- and post-test handwriting assessments to measure progress. Programming is developed by licensed occupational therapist Paula Metling.

Fun on the Farm

Fun on the Farm is a flexible farm experience that allows your child to participate in outdoor-based activities that change with the seasons and child's interests. For example, your child might like to participate in farm tasks, plant and tend a garden, build a fort, take a nature hike, make a nature-inspired craft, or just engage in free play. These sessions are one hour in length; you customize the frequency (one time, weekly, monthly, etc).
